Who’s watching?

As I go to get ready for work today, I hear from the bathroom, "look momma!!" With a big, proud smile on her face, Kennedy is standing on my scale. Why is she proud? Because she witnesses mommy doing this Every. Single. Day.
It's these little habits we do. It's the way we talk to ourselves. Our kids soak it all in and even when we think they want to be NOTHING like us, they show they are JUST like us.
You woke up today and tried on those fall clothes that have been tucked away for months. Everything looks frumpy, doesn't fit, and out of style. The summer glow is fading and you say to yourself, "gross, I look disgusting."
What would we do if we heard our children talk to themselves that way?
It is SO important that we fix our attitudes and our bad habits so that we can encourage good attitudes and habits with our kids. They are always watching and listening.
Luke 6:43 says “A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.”
Homework:
What are some things you can do to show your kids YOU are confident, strong, and happy? What are you doing to also instill that confidence in them?
Stay fruitful,
Lindsey
